THread Lift

is a procedure that repositions the skin and soft tissue in a more youthful appearance. It can be done under local anaesthetic and has a significantly shorter downtime than e.g. a facelift. The results can last over a year and some benefit may be visible even two years later. After assessment and consent, these steps are followed.

Step 1

Local anaesthetic

helps to numb the area. A skin pencil may be used to mark out the intended direction of lift, as well. It is better not to be wearing any makeup as that will need to be removed.

Step 2

thread placement

is performed through tiny needle punctures. The specially designed thread is then introduced that lifts the tissues as needed. Often a small ‘over correction’ is done at this stage to help the final result.

step 3

after care

You should be ok to leave after a short period of observation. As we are always concerned about your safety, it may not be great idea to drive back. The access incisions heal in a few days, after which you can start using your regular make up.
